Renewable energy & photovoltaics

Harnessing the power of the sun

Using solar energy:
Our 1,000 kWp photovoltaic system covers approximately 21% of our electricity needs – equivalent to the annual consumption of 250 four-person households.

Expansion of photovoltaics:
In 2024, we expanded the photovoltaic system at our Wels location by 150 kWp, installing panels on the roof of the sales building and our company kindergarten, RECAminis. A new system is also being planned for our Vienna branch.

Innovative building technology

Modern & eco-efficient

Efficient cooling:
To ensure sustainable air conditioning in our sales building, we use an innovative groundwater cooling system.
This technology enables much more energy-efficient climate control compared to conventional cooling units.

Green Building:
Switching to energy-efficient LED lighting not only lowers electricity consumption but also reduces our energy costs.

Sustainable mobility & bike leasing

More movement, less impact

Through our bike leasing program in cooperation with LeaseMyBike, we promote eco-friendly commuting.
Switching from cars to bikes reduces CO₂ emissions, improves employee health, and enhances our employer brand.

Eco-friendly packaging & circular economy

Recycling is good – circular economy is better

Incoming product packaging gets a second life with us. A specialized machine transforms used paper into new filling material for shipping – clean, sustainable, and reusable.

Sustainable IT disposal

Progress with responsibility

In collaboration with AfB, we give used IT devices a second life, support people with disabilities, and contribute to the circular economy – all while upholding the highest security standards.

With our elVIS sales software, digital invoices, and the RECA eSHOP, we make our processes more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Paperless order processing saves resources, reduces costs, and strengthens collaboration with our customers.

Our sustainable service systems optimize resource usage.
The RECA KANBAN system uses reusable containers and eliminates packaging waste. These containers are cleaned in our in-house washing facility and reintroduced into the supply cycle.
