Getting off to a flying start with the Dual Academy

The Dual Academy was launched in the autumn of 2018. Kellner & Kunz has been involved from the very beginning and currently offers two of the nine career options: “Sales & Market” and “Logistics Management“.

The idea
The training academy is unique in its form and is aimed specifically at secondary school graduates but also students without a degree. In this way, a further training channel has been created for highly qualified employees of the future.

Training – rotation offers exciting insights
In one and a half (Sales & Market) to two years (Logistics Management), the participants undergo customised training that qualifies them to embark on careers as specialists and managers in future-orientated professions. The Dual Academy is a great opportunity for young people to get off to a flying start in their professional lives with immediate effect!

BUSINESS LOGISTICS – Training duration 2 years
A job with a future – in the world of business logistics

You are interested in how goods travel from A to B? You are fascinated by internal logistics concepts? Perfect! Because logistics specialists deal with the question of how the movement of goods and materials in a company can be organised and managed systematically. The aim is to make the right goods available in the right quantity, at the right time, in the right quality, at the right cost and at the right place. These processes need to be organised quickly, cost-effectively and with minimum impact on materials.

Because logistics specialists deal with the question of how the movement of goods and materials in a company can be organised and managed systematically. The aim is to make the right goods available in the right quantity, at the right time, in the right quality, at the right cost and at the right place. These processes need to be organised quickly, cost-effectively and with minimum impact on materials.

Coordination skills, logical and analytical thinking combined with organisational talent are prerequisites for this exciting job. Supported by state-of-the-art IT and various simulation options (for example, inventory via drones or RFID chips), business logistics specialists will find the perfect solution for any challenge and ensure an effective international supply chain.

The most important tasks and points at a glance:

  • Managing the best possible movement of goods from suppliers (sellers) to customers (buyers).
  • Work locations: Rotation offers exciting insights into logistics and administration
  • Contact with suppliers and customers, forwarding agents, and employees in accounting, administration, logistics and the vehicle fleet
  • Coordinating orders and preparing picking orders (= putting together the products)
  • Monitoring the flow of goods and controlling stock levels
  • Carrying out stocktaking

The vocational school in Ried/Innkreis is attended in blocks of 2 x 10 weeks. The boarding school is located in the immediate vicinity of the vocational school.

SALES & MARKET

WHOLESALE – Training duration 1.5 years
A job with a future – and interesting areas of activity

Wholesalers have a wide range of responsibilities. If you are interested in how large quantities of goods are purchased and then resold at a profit, then this could be the right career for you! Wholesalers buy goods in large quantities from producers and then resell them to customers. They obtain quotations, compare these, order the goods and then store them professionally.

Trainees acquire a broad commercial knowledge in the departments of Purchasing, Sales and Logistics Management, as well as knowledge of MS Office programmes and the in-house information system (e.g. SAP). Organisational talent, communication skills and a knowledge of English are also advantageous for this line of work.

The most important tasks and points at a glance:

  • Acting as an intermediary between goods producers, bulk consumers and processors.
  • Work locations: You work primarily in the offices of wholesale enterprises, but also in the field service or in logistics and sales rooms.
  • Work locations: Rotation offers exciting insights into the various departments
  • Contact with suppliers and customers as well as with employees of other departments (e.g. Logistics, Accounting and Customer Service)
  • Maintaining accurate records with the help of special EDP programmes

The vocational school in Linz 7 is attended in blocks of 2 x 10 weeks.  .
